Apple launches Itunes Music Store South Africa
Well this is a great surprise to wake up to! The South African iTunes Music store has all of a sudden gone live in South Africa! South African’s will now be able to purchase music through the world largest online digital music store.
Users can now choose from over 20 million songs available to purchase and download on the iTunes Store but it appears movies will unfortunately not available in the South African store. The “Games” category is also still ridiculously not available in the South African iTunes App Store. We haven’t tested services like iTunes Match yet but we’re pretty sure it most likely won’t be available here just yet.
We would advise you not to go rushing to deactivate your US or UK accounts, if you have one, but at least it’s a move in the right direction and hopefully some day in the near future the whole store will open up!
We’re busy testing the store as we speak and will update this post as we learn more. Drop your experiences with the store in the comments below.
Itunes Match
Itunes Match is available for R199.99 per year!
